Rossendale Borough Council has agreed to sell its stake in Rosso to Transdev Blazefield.

As previously reported in CBW1322, the council met on Wednesday, December 20 to consider a proposed deal, and voted to allow the sale to go ahead. The Rosso brand will be retained.

A Transdev spokesman told CBW that ownership will be transferred on January 12. He said the company is purchasing the entire Rosso fleet, though Rosso’s Haslingden depot will remain under the control of Rossendale Borough Council. Initially, the services will continue to operate out of their current depots, with the vehicles expected to move to a yet to be confirmed location in the next few months.
